The Stockton Faculty Assembly was established in June 1975 with the ratification of the constitution. The purview of the Assembly was to review and deal with academic issues and institutional planning and policies. The Assembly was comprised of all faculty members and certain academic administrators, with an elected Steering Committee and other convened Assembly committees. With the growth of the college in the 1990s and into the 2000s, a Faculty Assembly task force on governance considered other options in 2008. The Faculty Senate, a representative governing group, was established in Fall 2009. The Faculty Assembly still meets at least once a year, but now senators are elected to represent the faculty at monthly meetings during the academic year. The online collections include meeting minutes, academic program proposals, reports from subcommittees, policies and procedures for review, and other documents. The collection will be updated as materials become publicly available.
